WEB DIRECTIONS
Take the R320, starting either from the Caledon or the Hermanus side. From Caledon, turn left onto the gravel road after 10 km. From Hermanus, turn right onto the same road after 22.9km from the Sandbaai traffic lights. Continue driving for another 8 km. Here you will find the Glen Oakes signpost on the right-hand side of the road.
Please Note: On the N2 from Cape Town, the Caledon route is quicker.

Directions To Glen Oakes Farm From Caledon
- N2 to Caledon
- On the N2 turn right into Caledon if you are coming from Cape Town direction. Turn left into Caledon if coming from the Riviersonderend direction.
- SIGN: R316 BREDARSDORP (opposite the Botanical Gardens)
- Drive straight through town, just out of town turn right
- SIGN: R320 HERMANUS (opposite SAB Breweries)
- Go down small mountain pass, it is called Shaw’s Pass but not signed, roughly 10 km from Caledon. Turn left at the bottom of the pass onto a gravel road
- SIGN: SOLITAIRE
- ± 8 km on gravel road, turn right
- SIGN: GLEN OAKES
- Follow road through first farmyard; turn right into Glen Oakes farm, through stone pillars & electric gate.
- Gate code will have been sent to you prior to your arrival
Directions To Glen Oakes Farm From Hermanus
- At the main traffic lights on the outskirts of Hermanus (they are referred to as the “Sandbaai Traffic Lights”, the Engen garage is on one corner, the Hermanus Wine Village is on the other as well as the Hemel-en-Aarde Estate)
- Take the Hemel-en-Aarde Valley road
- SIGN: R320 CALEDON
- Drive for 22.9km
- As you start driving up Shaw’s Pass, turn right on to a gravel road
- SIGN: TESLAARSDAL & SOLITAIRE
- ± 8 km on gravel road, turn right
- SIGN: GLEN OAKES
- Follow road through first farmyard; turn right into Glen Oakes farm, through stone pillars & electric gate.
- Gate code will have been sent to you prior to your arrival
